Women in Qin China worked hard in homes and fields, but some became heroes too. One of the most famous was Lady Zhao, the brave wife of General Zhao She. When her husband was away, enemy soldiers attacked their city. Instead of giving up, Lady Zhao organized the defenses, gave orders to the troops, and even tricked the enemy into thinking a huge army was coming. The attackers ran away, and she saved her people.

Lady Zhao was praised for her courage and cleverness. Stories about her bravery were told for generations, inspiring other women to be strong, smart, and fearless.
