The Great Pyramid of Giza is one of the most amazing buildings ever made. It was built using about 2.3 million giant stones, each one as heavy as a car! Over 20,000 workers helped build it, and it took around 20 years to finish. No one knows exactly how they did it, but many people think they used ramps to move the heavy stones upward. At the very top was a shiny metal called electrum, made from gold and silver, which sparkled in the sunlight like a beacon for the gods.

The Great Pyramid was so tall — about 480 feet high — that it was the tallest building in the entire world for almost 4,000 years! Imagine that — nothing on Earth was taller until the Eiffel Tower was built in France in 1889. For all those thousands of years, the Great Pyramid stood as a symbol of Egypt’s power, pride, and genius.
