Rise

Long ago, the land of India was divided into many kingdoms. Far to the west, Alexander the Great marched with his huge army, conquering everything in his path. But when he reached India, his soldiers grew afraid — they saw hundreds of enormous war elephants in the Indian armies! They had never seen such giant beasts before, with metal armor and loud trumpets that shook the ground. Tired and frightened, Alexander’s men refused to fight and turned back.
